I haven't written a lunchbox note in a long time. I used to do it on a pretty regular basis, but now my kids make their own lunches as part of their morning routine. I am going to try a find a way to sneak one in because I found the cutest ones here, at the Reading Rockets website. A second grade teacher at RES mentioned these little gems and wondered aloud about printing them out and sending them home for parents to use. What a great idea! It not only makes the receiver smile, but it illustrates again the power of the written word.
Hmmm... I think I may print some out and write some notes of my own to put in the courier. Kids aren't the only ones that need an unexpected smile once in a while!
