Etheree-- It's New to Me!

Have you ever heard of an etheree poem? Me either, until the other day! An etheree is a ten line poem based on syllables. The first line has one syllable, the next has two, etc. I tried it on for size and this is what I came up with:

Ten.
Thirteen.
Growing up,
So very fast.
Where did the curls go?
Perfect button noses?
Kissable, sweet-smelling toes?
Missing my babies, but loving
The new journey we are taking now;
Learning, loving with open hearts and minds.

For upper grades, this would be fun to play around with. For primary grades, would a mini-etheree be doable? Maybe a half-etheree? Try it out-- it's harder than it looks!
